2008 BYMX dates

NATIONAL level motocross riders will be wanting to break open their 2008 diaries as the BYMX championship dates for next season have just been announced by the ACU.
Following the release of the Maxxis BritishMotocross Championship dates, the ACU motocross committee was able tofinalise details of next season's series and release the dates for theseven-round championship and the BYMX Team Event.
Once again, the ACU has worked closely with theAMCA and BSMA to ensure there is only minimal clashing of dates for thechampionship events, and while the dates are now set in stone,discussion with the respective clubs and organisers is still ongoing atpresent and venues have yet to be firmed up for all rounds. A furtherpress release will be issued once venues these are confirmed.
The dates for the 2008 BYMX championship then are as follows:
Rd 1 - March 29/ 30
Rd 2 - April 26/ 27
Rd 3 - May 24/ 25
Rd 4 - June 21/ 22
Rd 5 - July 12/ 13
Rd 6 - August 23/ 24
Rd 7 - September 13/ 14
BYMX Team Event - October 5

In other National Youth motocross news, the MXY2class that has made its debut at the British Motocross Championshipthis year is the latest part of the series to hit TV screens.
The best of the action from rounds three and four,held at Brampton and Pontrilas respectively, has been combined as partof the Max Power programme that will be initially broadcast this comingSunday, November 11.
Each programme is a thirty-minute production andhas been created by Greenlight Television in association with the ACU,and the schedule is as follows:
Sunday, November 11 - 6pm, Sky Sports 3
Monday, November 13 - 2am, Sky Sports 1
Thursday, November 15 - 12am, Sky Sports 3.
