Raga back on top in Gerona

ADAM Raga gave his exciting 300cc two-stroke powered Gas Gas prototype a winning debut in front of thousands of fans in the Catalan factory's home city of Gerona last Thursday evening, in the third round of the Spanish Indoor Championship series.

The factory showed-off their latest red-paintedultra-lightweight, round-tubed, steel-framed model beforesuper-confident Raga went out and dominated the evening's action,winning the Qualifying heat by a huge margin, dropping just a singlemark to arch-rival Toni Bou's eight and Sherco's Albert Cabestany onnine before beating Repsol-Montesa's World Champion six points to ninein the final.

In winning the Gerona event, Raga eased into thelead of the Spanish Indoor series after Bou won the opener in Tarragonabefore Raga struck back in Zaragoza and then moved into the lead in GasGas-crazy Gerona.

The next round of the seven-round series will take place in Cordoba on November 17.

Raga's new-found form has lit-up a series that Bouwas expected to cake-walk following his incredible debut season on thefactory Montesa.

Final: 1 Adam Raga 6, 2 Toni Bou 9, 3 Albert Cabestany 13.
