A first for MX92
By TMX Archives on 8th Dec 06

THE MX92 club held its first annual Awards Presentation Evening on Saturday night at Hinkley Island Hotel, Leicester, where a great night was enjoyed by all with a three-course dinner.
Awards were presented by guest speaker Matt Winstanley.
The trophies were absolutely brilliant, sometimes matching the height of the riders.
The formal part of the evening was followed by dancing. Raffle prizes for the evening were donated by the club's own spares van, Bar2Bar, which has supported the club during its inaugural season.
The evening commenced with Club Chairman, Keith Caines, interviewing Matt Winstanley and then he provided a brief background commentary about each rider receiving an award.
Bouquets of flowers and bottles of spirits were presented to those hardworking background helpers including the lap-scorers, start-gate operatives, clerks of the course, and report writers. A family award went to the Anguish family who have worked relentlessly all season.
