British Youth Championship for Class A and B on Sunday at familiar Wolversliegh Farm, near Sidbury, Devon, and with the season already haven taken in two rounds within the last month, the Otter Vale event marks a very different trial for the competitors to get their teeth into, writes Barry Robinson.

The hard working club has a thirty year pedigree of running the OtterTrophies Trial and has only missed one year staging a majorchampionship event. On Sunday though the club will ring the changesslightly with a testing three lap course featuring 13 sections, but, instead of the emphasis on huge steps and rocks there will be longclimbing gullies, muddy tree-rooted climbs, wet and slippery logs, andsteep climbs.

This is totally at odds to either of the previous two venues, Dob Parkor Ipstones, and far removed from style of the majority of the yearsevents, so the event will provide a serious test for all the riders onthe start sheet, and only a true all rounder will walk away victorious.
