THE latest rounds of the ACU British Youth Trials Championships are being held this weekend at Hope Farm, near Longframlington, Northumberland.

The North East Centre is hosting the event using the Bedlington club's excellent venue, which was used last year for the Inter Centre Team Trial

On Saturday, August 8, the Youth C and D classes will compete over three-laps of the moorland course, with local rider Billy Bolt doing his best to close the gap on series leader Jack Price. Dan Peace will have the same game plan as he is currently on the same running total as Bolt, just seven-points adrift of Price.

Both Youth D classes are very tight at the moment with Jack Peace holding a six-point advantage over Toby Martin in the Medium-wheel class, while Joe Faunthorpe and Zac Collinson are both tied on 72-points in the Small-wheel category.

On Sunday, the Youth A and B classes will resume their battles on a slightly longer course, with a few additional and toughened-up sections.

First three places in Youth A are taking shape now with Jack Sheppard having a comfortable lead over Richard Sadler and Josh Brain, but it's a little tighter in Youth B where George Gosden leads Chris Stay by ten-points, so it's all to play for there.

The course will be sign-posted from Longframlington on the A697 road, so make your way along to see our stars of the future in action.

T+MX will of course feature reports and pics of both days' action in next week's issue.
