PREPARATIONS are well and truly under way at Ashby de la Zouch for this Sunday's penultimate round of the GBXC series.

A superb entry has been confirmed and the track team are on-site as you read this, with good news to report.

The circuit is in fine condition and will offer a long, flowing lap.

There's also a brand new parking area with great access for all.

Alex Rankin will once again be out and about with his trusty television camera and Nick Fisk is the man on the mike, with live results, lap times and race commentary throughout the duration of the two races on Sunday.

There is still a lot to settle at the weekend as the GBXC moves into its final stages.

Should Tom Sagar take a win, he will be crowned the Pro Class champion! The Expert class is still up for grabs, along with several other classes and titles. All is still to play for.

Entries are available all this week and securing your ride could not be simpler. Just visit the website – www.gbxc.co.uk – and click ‘enter online'. Alternatively, call the entries secretary, Mandie Edmondson on 01543-370070 who will get you sorted.

As always at GBXC, allcomers are most welcome and the growing band of GBXC riders swells at each round as motocrossers and enduro riders both join together and take on the mixture of both disciplines that Cross-country racing offers.

Entries are open till race morning and access to the site is available from Friday afternoon/ evening (August 7).

The track will be available to walk from Saturday morning at 10am.
