AMA thrills and spills
By Olly Stone on 1st Feb 13

I cant even remember writing the last column and its only been four weeks since that one.
Time has just flown by.
The AMA Supercross West Coast Championship in the States is now in full swing and the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team's luck has gone from bad to worse.
A disastrous first turn at the opening round (Anaheim One) took out all three of our guys and resulted in Blake Baggett breaking his wrist again and having to have surgery.
We are now down to two riders – although it was almost one if you saw the heat race crash from Martin Davalos at Phoenix.
That was one of those moments where he was lucky to be able to walk away.
I got a chance shortly after Anaheim to fly back to London and get my visa sorted out.
That was a relief as I had to complete a lot of paperwork for that.
So with that approved I had to wait for my passport to be returned before I was able to travel back to America.
That meant I got the chance to spend some time back home hanging out with friends and family.
It was nice eating my mum's home cooked food again.
That week seemed to fly by though and before I knew it I was on a plane back to Southern California ready to get back at it.
That was two weeks ago now and since then it's been wide open.
Last week I was at the test track every day doing various things, as well as going to the races to lend a hand.
But it's always good to be busy.
There seems to be plenty of Brits over here this time of year riding and watching the racing. Avoiding the bad weather back home I guess.
It's kind of weird seeing all the snow pictures from England while I have my shorts on with the weather in the mid twenties.
Ray Archer was even in the shop doing some shooting for an up-coming feature.
Well that's been pretty much my last life over the last month.
Soon enough I'll be flying out to the first east coast race and starting my first Supercross campaign.
The Supercross-fever meter is starting to climb in the race shop and I can't wait to get going.
