HIS confidence restored by his hat-trick of second places on the KX450F Bud Racing Rockstar Kawasaki in the French championship round at Gaillac-Toulza on Sunday, Nico Aubin will switch to the MX1 class in Portugal. And his place on the KX250F will be taken by young American, Michael Leib.

Eighteen-year-old Leib, a protege of Nathan Ramsey, was the winner of the 250 Pro Stock B class at Loretta Lynns last year and recently announced his intention not to contest another summer of amateur racing. He had expected to make his Pro debut at Hangtown, but the opportunity to race with the high-profile French team in the GPs has brought forward his entry to the big-time.

Bud Racing team manager Stephane Dass: We've asked the promoter of the series for an entry for Nicolas in the MX1 class for the next GPs. Gregory Aranda practiced on the bike last week but still had some pain in his neck so he did not race at Gaillac-Toulza. It was better for him to wait one more week, but he will be back in Portugal, so we will have two MX1 riders. We will also enter an MX2 rider in Portugal. We'll do a test with American Michael Leib, who we have been in contact with through Troy Lee. This kid is 18-years-old and just starting his professional career.
