RIDE-XC's Cross Country series heads to Woodhouse Farm, Great Ayton, North Yorkshire, for round two, over the weekend of April 18/19. The opportunity to use this exciting venue was one that Ride-XC feels it was just too good to miss out on, and while being based mainly in the Lancashire area, the decision was made to incorporate this event into the championship.
With the date fast approaching ever closer the track team are currently busy building and preparing the final touches to the course, these should include the addition of some new Woodland sections which along with the already existing excellent MX track loop all promise to make this spectacular hilltop venue even better.
The weekends action will start on Saturday April 18 with a Rider Training day from 10am to 3pm. To ensure a quality session there will only be ten-places available so that each rider will get the attention that he or she deserves. The cost will be 40 pounds per rider and this will also include a buffet lunch.
Sunday's activities will get underway at 9.30am sharp, with a Youth and Ladies 1.5-hour XC event.
Ride-XC would like to emphasize that all youth classes will be catered for in-line with the current Dirtbike-Trax and True Grit format.
At 12 noon the main XC champs 2.5 hr race will get under way. This is open to all adult classes. Riders who took part in round one are urged to check their points.
While this is a points-scoring round, the event is still open to everybody, and new faces will be welcomed to enjoy this fantastic weekend.
The event will conclude with an awards presentation at 3pm when the top-three finishers in each class will receive their awards. Any riders wishing to camp at this venue and take advantage of the spectacular surrounding countryside are welcome.
Riders are urged to get their entries in early as this event will have a limited entry.
