Josh Gilbert has dominated the 2012 Red Bull Elite Youth Cup Championship.

Rarely out of the top three, Josh showed the rest of the field how to win a national title, consistently racing to podium finishes in every event this season.

This weekend was no different, with The Buildbase/Albion Honda rider taking overall victory on the day.

The Big-wheel 85 youth class is very popular and has a field of predominantly two-stroke machines.

But young Gilbert put the CRF150 four-stroke Honda at the front of the pack proving the power, strength and reliability of the smaller capacity four-stroke Honda racer.

"I am very happy to win this championship,” said Josh.

‘‘It just means a lot to me and the team.

"The bike has worked well all year and while I know my season isn`t over yet, this is one big relief.

"I want to thank my family, particularly my dad for all the time and effort he puts into my racing, Gary at Albion Motorcycles and Dave Thorpe our Buildbase Honda team manager and of course all our sponsors.

"I know I`m the rider, but this is a great team effort and a fantastic result.”
