IT hardly seems five-minutes since the 2009 British Solo Trials Championship started in March with Scarborough opening the ACU Events-sponsored series. The final round on September 26/27 (this weekend) goes to another new organiser at this level and a new venue when the Kent Youth Trials and Wickham Clubs join forces to host the event.
Although new to the adult series, the Kent club has had a reputation for cracking Youth events over the years and its venue for this one, at Sandfields, has been described as a bit of a mini Hawkstone Park, with tree lined banks and rocky outcrops big sandstone ones at that!
The organisers have spent a good few days camping out at the venue to make sure that 12 cracking sections have been devised and they are confident of an event that will be a fitting end to the premier domestic trials series.
The other exiting news is that the ACU have sanctioned a practice permit' for Monday, September 28, so there is the chance to sign-up and ride on the land the day after the Trial. The cost is 16 and more details can be obtained from Andy Hogg on 07894-806788 or by e-mail to hogg_a1@sky.com
