MIKE Taylor chased Aaron Ebbitt hard in race one at the final round of the NORA-Sport National Quad Supermoto Championships, and with only12 points separating the top two in the series, he needed those winning points.

With very few places to pass, time was limited for Mike Taylor, but Aaron took a very well deserved win in race one.

Steve Butler was having trouble holding off GarethThomas for third position and these two were well clear of fifth manMatt Lawry.

In race two, Taylor had the lead from Aaron, buthe retired on lap three. Aaron, however, couldn't reclaim the lead forlong, as Gareth Thomas moved through to the front of the pack with onlythree-laps to go. Over the line, Gareth was jubilant with his winningposition ahead of Ebbitt and then Butler in third, while Matt Lawrypulled in good points in fourth position.

Ebbitt led the final race, and Mike Taylor wasback in the mix in fifth spot. Gareth Thomas pressured Ebbitt from thestart, and by the final lap back-markers were not helping Ebbitt at all.

However, over the line for the last time Ebbitttook the final win of the day. Gareth Thomas was pleased with hissecond place finish at the final round, while this also boosted hischampionship tally.

At the end of the 2007 season, it was Aaron Ebbittwho took the championship honours, and the first place trophy ahead ofMike Taylor in second, and Gareth Thomas in third.
