Double Colne is twice as nice

East Anglia Schooolboy Scrambling Club are holding a joint meeting with the Halstead and District MCC at the famous Wakes Colne circuit in Essex on Sunday July 4.
This is a completely new venture for both clubs and it is hoped that it will encourage aspiring young riders to take the first step into full adult racing and on the other hand give Adult riders a taste of riding with another club that rides throughout East Anglia. Many riders from the adult ranks tend to come back to East Anglia and ride with their own children.
East Anglia has had a long association with Halstead but this is the first time that we have attempted a joint meeting. The event will be run under a BSMA permit on this occasion and the riding fee will include a BSMA day license for those who need one but please bring your ACU license or another form of photographic identity with you. There will be classes for all groups from Auto to Adult Open but the format will be different to reflect the nature of the event.
This is a great example of clubs and organisations working together. If this meeting is a success we hope it will become an annual event.
