Last call for World round

The L+M Events team have been hard at work since last Sunday, as they make their final preparations ahead of this week's UK leg of the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship that will take place at Nevis Range, Fort William, over THIS weekend, June 25/26/27.
While most of the sections will utilise the natural Scottish terrain, there are some awesome riverbed sections and Martin Lampkin and his team have been busy creating three man-made hazards that sit in the main arena area. These will be the focus point in front of the grandstand seating and close to the big screen so spectators can keep tabs on the whole event as it unfolds.
Martin Lampkin is pictured at the start of the final section, which features a fearsome ten foot jump just to get the riders into the hazard. Lampkin explained more about his finale. Our aim is to create a mix of different sections, some traditional and some spectacular and section 15 certainly falls into the latter category. The leap is certainly only for the brave, but the top guys are sure to go for it as it is actually easier than dropping in.
Nevis Range is a purpose-built leisure area, popular with skiers in winter and mountain bikers in summer but this weekend the whole area is giving way to the World Championship trial. An integral part of the event is the superb river sections up the mountain accessed by the fabulous Gondola cable cars. Gondola tickets are included in your admission fee.
There's still time to catch the top riders in the world in action. Saturday and Sunday play host to separate rounds of the series so if you can only make one day you will still catch all the riders including World Champ Toni Bou and his challengers Adam Raga, Albert Cabestany, Takahisa Fujinami, Jeroni Fajardo and of course Britain's 12 time Dougie Lampkin, winner of 99 Trial Grand Prix. Then you can cheer-on Michael Brown, Alexz Wigg in the Championship class, while Jonathan Richardson and Jack Challoner have high hopes in the Junior class. Jack Sheppard is our number one rider in the Youth category but watch out for Joanne Coles going for it in the Youths and Becky Cook in the Juniors. Scottish fans
