AARON Ebbitt managed to claim pole position, just, ahead of Mark Donnelly in qualifying for round eight of the NORASport National Quad Supermoto Series at Blyton, while Mike Taylor suffered with a stricken machine.

Luckily, Taylor was kindly loaned another machine for the races. In the opening race Donnelly took the lead andsubsequently the win, and although the fastest rider was Ebbitt, acostly mistake left him in fifth position over the line, with Taylorjust behind in sixth on his donated machine.

Meanwhile, Colin Jackson and Gareth Thomas finished in second and third spots respectively.

Ebbitt led race two, but he came under increasing pressure from Donnelly.

Steve Butler had recovered from his earliermechanical problems to pressure Jackson for third position, butinevitably came over the line in fourth.

Ebbitt and Donnelly were almost inseparable during the final encounter and crossed the line in first and second once again.

Butler pressed hard enough this time to clinchthird from Jackson. It was Donnelly however who maximised on points, but still gained only two on the day over Ebbitt.

Matt Lawry not only showed his generous nature, loaning a bike to Mike Taylor, he put in every effort and scoredsufficient points to secure fifth on the day.
