THIS Sunday, August 31, the RideOffRoadUK Summer Hare and Hounds series event will move on to yet another brand new venue to multi-lap events.
The Fatcat Moto Parc facility at Armthorpe will host round four of the series, with particular interest going into the construction of this Enduro course as it will form the basis for a three-round winter series. The winter series will commence on the first weekend of November and will see the rideoffroaduk 2008 calendar draw to a close on December 27.
A presentation for all class winners will take place at the final round, where riders can collect their superb trophies plus generous product prizes, kindly donated by industry linked companies.
Although Fatcat Moto Parc co-owner, Martin Craven, has a newly constructed extreme section now ready for use, Wayne Braybrook has emphasised that this is on the shortest route and all levels of competitors can opt for a slightly longer way around the obstacles, if they so wish.
Either way it should form a spectacular viewing point for spectators.
The course will use the Fatcat motocross track with surrounding fields to give an enduro special test feel to the lap. A woodland section has also been included which should see a lap length in excess of ten minutes.
Early interest in the event has been formed from the usual backbone of rideoffroaduk events in the Sportsman and Clubman class regulars, this coupled with a good few MX experts finding it hard to resist the temptation of trying out a Hare and Hounds multi-lapper for the first time.
For entries and information see the website – www.rideoffroaduk.co.uk – or call the event mobile, 07802-572023.
Advice is book in early! Entries on day will include a £5 surcharge. ACU day licences are available, but should be pre-booked.
