FOXHILL returned to the international motcross scene in style on Sunday with the running of the British Championship round on it hallowed hills, and the success of the event was a just reward for the serious hardwork put in by circuit owner Genevieve Mather and family, and track builder Paul O'Gorman to bring the circuit back up to it's former glory.
Almost universally praised by the riders, teams and fans alike, the track had seen six months of solid work and considerable financial investment thrown at it with the soil replaced and whole track re-built, a new sprinkler system installed, new fencing and paddock infrastructure throughout the site. The grass was mown, there were bins every 30 yards or so and everything in general looked just right and worthy of a GP let alone a British championship event.
The specator turn out was a little on the low side perhaps for an event which such expectation around it, but those who were there bore witness to undoubtedly the best championship round of the year and hopefully the begining of an exciting new ear for Foxhill.
