IT has been a big weekend for 2008 trials bike launches with Sherco, Scorpa and Gas Gas all weighing in with pictures and pre-production models of next season's best-sellers.
Technology and Motion is the Gas Gas slogan and the Gerona factory willonce again field a full range of PRO models which is 125, 200, 250, 280and 300 models.
For 2008 Gas Gas is sticking with red as the predominant plasticscolour (with blue as an option on the 280) to compliment the blacktwin-spar frame. New graphics mark the change and are accompanied by anew headlight, rear light and new fenders.
There's a front disc shield, new chain guide and handlebar protector.
Modified footpeg positioning, lifted straight from Adam Raga's bike, help fine-tune the already exemplary Gas Gas handling. A new radiator, produced by Behr, is claimed to aid cooling while a shorter frontheader pipe and new gear pedal are detail changes.
Gas Gas has also finally released news that is in indeed working on thedevelopment of a new four-stroke engine but that it's 4T is notexpected until the 2009 season.
