SCARBOROUGH and DMC held its annual IRC Tire Youth Two-Day Trial over the weekend with IRC Tires going to the lucky winners. With a full IRC sponsorship in front of them, the club goes from strength to strength.

Drawing a superb entry of talented riders from all reaches, the experienced Pat Galway and helpers put together 12 and 15-section courses over two days, with three laps each day.
Jonny Walker started confidently, cleaned the first river crossing and massive step effortlessly. As did the Josh Brain and Tom Maddrell, but Ryan Corkill hit it wrong to collect a five. Section three caused problems, a massive five foot step out of stream, adverse camber with wickedly angled roots to exit. Walker spun to a halt, his first marks of the day. He followed this with a two and superb last lap effort of one. Andy Chiltern heaved the Sherco through for a 3-1-3 score as minder Mark Taylor shouted instructions. Whilst Richard Sadler, riding A class let the back wheel slip off the treacherous root for a five.
Walker was now in his stride, never losing another mark, floating through the horrendous steps and rocks of nine and ten to finish on five lost first lap. Chiltern and Taylor, followed him on 13.
