The UK's number one off-road motorcycle spectacular and world famous Extreme scramble, The Tough One' will move to a new home for the 2011 edition on Sunday, March 13, 2011.

The world's best Extreme riders and thousands of enduro and trials fans will make their way across the planet to the tough and daunting Back Cowm Quarry on the outskirts of Rochdale, close to the network of motorways around Manchester.

After six successful years at Nantmawr Quarry, in Shropshire, the race organisers, WOR Events, have taken the bold and brave decision to move on to pastures new and after viewing several quarry's and other venues throughout the UK over the last couple of weeks, a final choice was made last week by race director, Steve Ireland.

He has secured the use of Back Cowm quarry for 2011's Extreme extravaganza in a deal with Cowm Leisure boss, John Whittle.

More details including format, races, event info will be issued in the immediate future.

Entries forms are now available to download and entries for the event opened on Monday, October 25, by visiting either – www.thetoughone.com or www.worevents.com

Race Director Steve Ireland said: "I am absolutely delighted to have done a deal with John Whittle at Back Cowm Quarry. The venue has everything I am looking for when it comes to giving spectators a great day's sport as they watch the world's best riders compete over this rocky and hilly terrain here next March.

"We have a lot of work to do to produce the finished product but the natural scope of the place is superb and there is no doubt in my mind we have chosen the right venue.

"Over the last few weeks I have been inundated with enquiries from all over the globe – not just the UK, from people asking about info and entry details for next year's event.

"Well now I can confirm the most important one – the venue – and release the entry forms on our website and start getting competitor booked in. Sunday March 13, 2011, will witness the toughest, roughest ‘T1' ever!”
