SEVENTEEN-year-old Jamie Arch clinched the QUAD Magazine John Elliot Racing SMX Winter QX Championship at the final round of the series at Northchapel, Sussex, on Sunday.
Consistency was the key for the speedy youngsterwho scored in every round of the series, although after blowing hisHonda TRX up two-weeks ago, it looked like the championship would slipfrom his grasp.
Joint series sponsor, John Elliot, stepped in andloaned Jamie a Honda for the final round and his two second places toStef Murphy in the first two races were enough for him to wrap up thechampionship.
It was a good day for John Elliott as well, withthe Wulf-sponsored veteran star taking the Over 35 trophy in the seriesand sixth place overall in the Pro Class. Not bad for a mere67-year-old....
