Jon's stitched up
By TMX Archives on 15th Jan 09

SKEEBY, Yorks, rider Jon Richardson, exited the Cliff Collinson National, at Scarborough, on Sunday, when he crashed between sections, clipping a rock and cart-wheeling down into the beck bottom. In the fall, Jon put out his hands to save himself but encountered something in the stream which gashed a left hand digit. His dad, Gerald, was nearby and Jon was taken straight to the Scarborough Hospital. The wound was stitched in five places and X-rayed for any breakage but luckily it's not broken.
Jonathan will be out of action for some weeks but it will not affect his plans for his first ride in the Scottish Six Days Trial come May....
