Sponsored ORE Club used the Lilstock venue in Somerset for a great event, with a full two days racing schedule for the quads.

The venue was a great six mile challenge of tight wooded sections combined with fast flowing fields, challenging climbs and technical river banks.

The action got under way on Saturday with the 8 to 12-year-old youths on 100cc quads, followed by the 12 to 16-year-olds on 250s.

The youth course for the 100cc youths was four miles in length and challenging for the racers.

Race one was a battle between Expert riders Scot Irons, Scot Berlyn and Michael Pearce.

Scot Irons had a well-deserved double victory with Scot Berlyn pushing him hard in both races. Both youths showed a fantastic display of fast pace and control.

In the B group Dan Barrow won both races from Luke Berlyn and Joel Irons.

The 250 Youths always give a great racing spectacle.

And with the course altered to use the full six miles of race track, the Expert group charged into the first wooded section with their usual wheel-banging exuberance.

The first race was won by Jack Norris, with Charlie Thorne just a second behind him at the chequered flag.

Race two saw Jack Hurley win the race by eight seconds, after taking the lead on the first lap.

Oscar Hurley had a double victory in the B group and matched the experts' lap times in both races

Race one of the Adults saw George Calloway grab an early lead, chased by Carl Bunce for the entire race.

However in the three race format for the adult quads it was Bunce who took race two and three to claim overall victory for the day, with George Galloway having to settle for second.

The top riders in each section showed how to extract the best from the quads in the fast and technical conditions as they powered around the six mile course, quickly catching and lapping back markers.

In the Over 40 category it was Ant Barrett and Chris Keitch who put on a great race and were lapping consistently to take a well-deserved three wins and three second places respectively.

In the Novice quad class it was Luke Davies who was matching the Over 40 lap times and won the class convincingly.

Each team had one rider in each class from Novice to Clubman and the overall winners in the Youth Class were the Hurlyn Racing Team of Scot and Luke Berlynn and Oscar and Jack Hurley.

The Overall winners of the Adults Team Award were Ant Barrett, Lawrence Stopps, Carl Bunce and Luke Davies.
