Life’s a Beachrace

Quad Riders travelled from far afield for the recent Dickies Workwear Beachrace at Weymouth.
French sand specialist and Le Touquet winner Jerome Bricheux made the 1000km journey.
And former British QX champion John Mitchell from Scotland and Johnathan McNight from Ireland also made the long trips to
Dorset.
Saturday saw some really close racing for the youth quads on the one mile circuit.
Sunday saw big boys like Paul Winrow, Jerome Bricheux, Stef Murphy, Sheldon Seal, Carl Bunce and 17-year-old George Callaway all playing in the sand.
They were chasing the prize money put up by event sponsor Dickies Workwear.
Despite the wet weather, spectators crammed the esplanade and were treated to some epic bumper to bumper racing, with Paul Winrow claiming overall victory on the day.
The event proved to be a huge success for all involved and ORE Events is already planning for Weymouth 2014.
