Lloyd goes Wild'

NINETEEN-year-old South African, Lloyd Vercueil, will be spending the next few months on these shores as a guest of Brian Williams and training at the superb all-weather Wildmoor facility, near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. It's all in preparation for a full-on season in the Maxxis MX1, MMX and the KWS series, together with some selected World MX3 Championship rounds in Europe. Lloyd is a past winner of three South African national championships at schoolboy and adult levels and he got his first taste of action in the Northern hemisphere at a Wilden Lane event over the weekend.
As it was less than 48 hours since Lloyd stepped off the plane, the whole experience of British weather and winter racing, with an elastic start gate, was a bit of a culture shock, but he definitely showed enough speed to suggest he will be well worth keeping an eye on as the year pans out.
Kawasaki machinery, with assistance from Wulfsport, Oakley, Putoline and DG Intersport, is the racing package which has been assembled so far with any further prospective sponsors being asked to get in touch with Brian Williams at wildmoorqp@aol.com
