National Putoline HS series update

THE popular National Putoline Hare Scramble Championships starts again this Sunday (February 1), when True Grit Off-Road (TGOR) hosts the opening round at its Driffield venue. The championship is open to Youth and all classes of Adult Solos and Quads. The series then moves to two new venues. Not content to sit on their laurels, the dynamic DirtBike-Traxs team has discovered three new virgin venues over the winter. Terrington, near York, comprises an established motocross track, but the addition of a mature pine-wood and a enormous stubble field makes for a great cross-country course. This venue will be used in March.
The recently announced Ripror Rigg, near Helmsley, North Yorkshire, with its flowing trails through the trees and wide open breaks, will be used for the first time in April.
In May DBT returns to one of the best tracks in the north, Gisburn. It's a full year since DBT was last there. Since then the course has been fully graded, rolled and re-routes to offer around fifty percent new going. Bolton-by-Bowland in June always provides a great blast out. July brings the series to Burnley with its different type of challenge.
Through August and September the series returns to Gisburn, Bolton by Bowland and Woodhouse, to finish off at Driffield in October.
The annual presentation evening has been set for the first week of December at Harrogate Town Football Club when the extensive prizes and awards will be presented.
The prize fund includes 1000 of products and cash to the best Expert, product prizes for the other classes from Putoline, Pirelli, Pro-clean, Polisport and crystal tankards down to fifth place in each class.
All the venues for spring and summer are in Yorkshire or Lancashire, keeping travelling distances and fuel costs down. Camping is welcome at all events and with events every two-weeks there is something for everyone.
In the two spare' weekends of each month the DirtBike-Traxs practice track at Woodhouse will be open for training or practice, at discounted rates for members. The first of these sessions starts in March and will run every weekend that there is no DBT or TGOR race event.
The DirtBike-Traxs team is dedicated to cross-country racing, with a proven transponder timing system and regular press coverage, with videos clips of all events on the website and, most importantly, a mega social atmosphere.
