RIDERS at NORA MX meetings this year can now win up to 150 a meeting after the club signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with leading tyre firm DWT.

Under the DWT contingency programme the top three riders in the overall standings in all adult and most 250 Youth classes will win cash if they are using new DWT tyres bought from an official DWT dealer.

The scheme, which begins at the club's opening championship round at Wroxton this Sunday (April 21), means each round will have a prize fund of up to £1,515 available to win!

The biggest payout is in the Expert class is £150 for a win, £75 for second and £40 for third.

The next highest payout comes in the Inters class with £100 (first), £60 (second) and £40 (third). In the Masters class (group A and B), Clubman, Rookie, 250 Open, 250 Modified and 250 Standard classes the awards will be £70 (first), £50 (second) and £30 (third).

"We are always looking at ways to improve the experience for riders racing with NORA,” said club chairman Chris Murphy.

"In these difficult times the chance to win some hard cash is a good way to do that, so we are delighted and very grateful to have DWT come on board with us.”

Riders will need to register for the scheme, buy tyres in 2013 from official dealers approved by importer ATVs Only, (and have a receipt to prove it), and carry four DWT stickers on their machine.

There will need to be at least 10 riders in each class or there will be no prizes awarded. In addition, no DWT-sponsored riders or teams are eligible to take part in the scheme. Full details and terms and conditions will be made available to all NORA club members soon.

Peter Rumsey, from DWT importers ATVs Only, said: "It's great to be involved with Nora-MX running this contingency program, they are the driving force in the south of the UK, so it was a natural choice for us to work with the club.”

Johnny Leach, the owner of American-based DWT added: "We are very happy to be involved with the NORA-MX series.

"The riders of the UK have always supported DWT and we are happy to give back.

"We look forward to seeing you at the races!” Full details of NORA championship can be found on the club's website www.nora-mx.org.uk.
