YAMAHA held the European press launch for the new 2009 YFZ450R in France earlier this week. The outline details smuggled out to us show that it features an aluminium frame with a stretched width measurement of some three inches over the old YFZ450. The motor also features digital fuel injection. ATV World star riders John Mitchell and Paul Holmes tested the machine a few weeks back and performed for the cameras for Yamaha's brochure and advertising shoot, and they broke their contracted silence to tell us that the new Yam is simply awesome on the track.
Early rumours place the price at somewhere around the £7,000 to £7,500 mark and ATV World will be the first UK dealer to stock the 2009 flyer.
Pre-orders are already being taken, so for a full spec and more details contact Martin Fletcher at ATV World on 01132-778663 or e-mail martin@atvworld.
