North South Super trial double-header
By TMX Archives on 23rd Jul 08

THERE'S a double-header of top level, spectator-friendly trials this weekend and with one event in the north of England and one in the south there's a good chance for trials enthusiasts everywhere to see the very best riders stretched by some exciting sections aimed at showing just what they are capable of.
First-up, on Saturday (July 26) for those in the north there is the revived British Experts Trial which is being promoted by British Trials Champ Graham Jarvis and his business partner John Kerwin of DirtBike-Traxs
The venue is Nord Vue near Carlisle. Access from the M6 is easy so don't be put-off by what you may see as the remoteness of Carlisle.
Seven times World Trials Champion Dougie Lampkin and the factory Beta is the big draw on Saturday - and there is real strength in depth to push Doug all the way. James Dabill (Future Montesa), Michael Brown (TTT Beta), Shaun Morris (Gas Gas UK) and Alex Wigg (Future Montesa) are all confirmed so the British Experts Trial should live up to its former glory days.
T+MX has been informed that Graham has plotted some spectacular sections to test the best of the British trials experts, and with a strong compliment of both Expert and Clubman riders (separate sections) there will be plenty of action to watch during the day.
The Championship hazards are based on the sections that will face the best in the world when the FIM World Trial GP comes to Nord Vue in May, 2009. With none of the sections more than 500 metres from the start, the compact venue makes spectating a breeze.
The event has the full support of all the UK trials importers, most if not all will have there wares on display. John Shirt has confirmed that he will have the new Gas Gas range on display and if the conditions are right, test rides may be possible. You will definitely be able to try out the fantastic ranges from Scorpa and Sherco, while team Sandiford will have the Montesa 4RT on display, while Beta await the arrival of their new machines.
Bargains can be found in the trade village with dealers offering many end of season deals.
The venue is easily accessed off the M6 near Carlisle at J41 and will be signposted in along the A6 turning off at the Armathwaite jnc. Please park as directed.
The venue opens on Friday at 4pm for competitors and from 7am Saturday for spectators. There is a 10 admission charge for adults and 5 for children.
