Olly Stone: On schedule for Anaheim

Its kind of been a little quieter this month than I had imagined. With a new bike I thought we would of been pinned at the shop getting everything ready for the up-comming season, but we are kind of ahead of things.

Mitch has been flat out working on the new motor, making new pistons for it and grinding new heads. So that has been keeping him busy.  And still with no riders riding in California and Austin Forkner being the only guy riding, the shop has been pretty slow.

I built another practice bike for Austin to send to his house. Austin had to come to Callifornia for a few days for some press work for Kawasaki, so while he was out here we did a some suspension and motor testing on that fresh bike I had built.

He had been back home riding with Trey Canard chasing him around for a couple of weeks and it was good for him to come back out and get him a little more comfortable with the 2017 bike.

We managed to improve the suspension and make him happy so he can go home and continue to improve as he gets more and more familiar with not only the new bike but the riding supercross as well.

Mitch was excited to throw a few motors at him while he was out so Austin could get a feel for the direction Mitch was going with the engine package and it was also a good test for us to see how it looked on the track.

So after a hectic couple of days Austin was off home to continue his training and preparation. And that left me to drop in fresh motor and shipped the bike home. That way he can have two bikes at home just incase.

I guess as we are getting closer to the season in January so things are slowly getting busier. Last week we finalized the new graphics for the new bike and new parts and components are coming in daily. So I would say right now we are ahead of schedule. But I already know the end of December will be busy as per usual.

This column this month is actually kind of short and sweet as I don't want to bore you too much. I am just heading back into work after a four day weekend as the shop closes for thanks giving.

So i'm feeling recharged and motivated - I am ready for our team photo shoot next week and to start counting down the days until Anaheim one.
