RICHMOND MC head for a hectic five weeks of trials action, commencing with the Reeth Three-Day Trial which fires up at Grinton Showground on Friday, July 24. The Three-Day is really three trials wrapped together with one final result. Each day features a totally separate course, usually 30 sections and one long lap.
The following week, the action centres on Laurence Allinson's Cogden Hall Farm and the annual Richmond MC Youth training school. On the Wednesday and Thursday, 50 youngsters will undergo two-days of trials training supervised by ACU certified instructors.
Ten days on into August and the ACU British Ladies Trials Championship takes place a few hundred yards from Reeth village centre. The ‘Woodyard' hosts the penultimate round in the seven-event series.
Regs for the Ladies Trial are now out with a closing date of August 1 and there are no late entries, so get cracking.
Event secretary Rhona Peacock then ‘rests' after her stint with the Three-Day, the Training School and the Ladies Championship event.
The next task moves the action to Braidley on August 23, where John Fraser masterminds a Yorkshire Centre Trade Trial with one lap of 30-miles and 40-sections.
Geoff and Steve Lambert are mine hosts for this splendid event in Coverdale and Wensleydale. Entry limit for this jewel in North Yorkshire is 150. Closing date for entries will be August 14.
As with the Ladies and Girls ruling, no late entries will be considered so get those regs filled in and posted. Mrs Peacock is again the Event Secretary.
