Wednesday morning at Cogden Hall Farm, Grinton, was where farmer Laurence Allinson hosted the annual Richmond Training School.

Katy Sunter swopped her roll as rider to be part of the two-day trials training programme along with Dan Thorpe, Ian Austermuhle and Gav Lowther.

Star riders Jonathan Richardson, John Crinson and John Sunter also assisted in aspects of the training seminar.

Small-wheels guru Ted Harston oversaw the massive turnout of tiny tots; 52 youngsters rode the many sections ranging from streams to dense woodland under close supervision over a two-day period.

The training ended on Thursday afternoon when all the pupils received a certificate complete with an action photograph.
