Supercross ‘Pela'

WORLD MX3 champion, Pierre-Alexandre Renet (left) aka Pela' will race the entire German SX season this winter. The indoor game is nothing new to the 24-year-old Frenchman, who tied up the World MX3 series a round early last Sunday. Four-years ago he was one of France's most promising SX riders, only a last lap take-out by Mike Alessi preventing him from finishing runner-up at Bercy!
The World MX3 series certainly does not carry the same prestige as MX1 and MX2, but no-one can take anything away from Pela' and the Bodo Schmidt team, a genuine privateer effort which secured Suzuki's only world title this year without any support whatsoever from Suzuki!
It is unclear as yet whether Renet will defend his title, certainly Bodo Schmidt has set other priorities for 2010: My team's focus in 2010 will be the ADAC MX Masters in Germany.
But Renet and Bodo will definitely be together this winter. Bodo: I have a contract with Pela' until the end of January 2010, and we will be going flat out for the indoor title too. Races are planned from mid-November through into January in Stuttgart, Chemnitz, Munich, Dortmund and Kiel.
