THAD Duvall, the 19-year-old teenager who dominated the XC2 class of the US GNCC series last season will head Yamaha's assault on the premier XC1 category this year. He will be team-mate to Barry Hawk and Jason Raines. After a hugely successful season in 2008, Thad showed that despite his relative lack of experience he has what it takes to perform well in the professional ranks of the GNCC series.
With reigning GNCC champion David Knight back in the WEC, Thad might well cause a few upsets during the season.
Kyle Redmond, the highest US finisher at Erzberg in 2008 and 2007 will join Yamaha and will compete in the Endurocross championship.
