WITH the Youth trials market becoming more competitive than ever, Beta has upped the ante and developed an all-new Rev-80 model for the 2008 which it has just announced details of.
In an effort to make the bike closer to the everpopular adult Rev models that will be campaigned by none other thanDougie Lampkin next season, the 2008 version of the Rev-80 featuresmore aggressive, adult geometry, as well as a host of othermodifications across the machine which read as follows.
lNew larger-diameter 38mm forks with rebound adjustment and altered offset to increase rideability
lNew shock derived from the one fitted to the larger-capacity machines
lSwing-arm mounted on roller bearings for increased smoothness, reduced friction and greater reliability
lStiffer front-end
lNew rear brake caliper like the unit on the Rev-3 250 for more powerful and controllable action
lNew front disc cover
lNew hubs with larger wheel-spindles for reduced weight combined with increased rigidity
lNew aluminium rims and tubeless tyres
lNew aluminium handlebar
lNew silencer for increased engine performance
lNew 21mm Dell'Orto carburettor
lNew front mudguard
lNew colours and graphics to match the top-of-the-range Rev-3.
The Rev-80 is expected to retail at 2545.00including VAT and should be available from your local Beta dealer fromlate November onwards.
