FOLLOWING hot on the heels of the new Gas Gas factory management in Girona announcing its 2016 works team including Michael Brown British importer John Shirt has been equally quick off the mark to show his faith in a really quick return to production for the iconic marque.

John has agreed terms with the following who will be Team JST Gas Gas riders for 2016: Michael Brown, Sam Haslam, Alexz Wigg, Dan Thorpe, Jack Price, Dan Peace, Jack Peace, Sam Yeomans, Katy Sunter and Steve Colley

"Firstly I would like to thank the team for staying loyal to the brand through this troubled year and for continuing in 2016,” said John.   "I am very proud of Team JST GGUK and it's what has kept me going this year.

"Where it has been a year to forget regarding GG bike sales it's been a great year regarding the team's performances, even without No.1 rider Michael Brown who went out with a knee injury at the Japanese Grand Prix in April, just as the season started.

"The highlights for me are winning the Manufacturers Team Award at the Scottish Six Days with Sam Haslam, Alexz Wigg and Gary MacDonald and Dan Thorpe winning the Expert Class in the 2015 British Trials Championship. Alexz Wigg saved his awesome day for The Scott Trial finishing an excellent second.

"Road and Trials GG rider Jack Price has come of age and proved he can do it at international level in the World Cup class, winning several rounds. He sets his sights next year on the World Cup title helped by GG Factory backing.

"The Peace brothers are also valuable members with Dan back from knee injury and Jack really riding well. Jack wants that world 125cc title next year also with GG Factory backing.

"Thanks to everyone at GGUK for keeping all our GG riders going both team and even more importantly looking after our paying customers.

"Being short of bikes has been a problem but this year we've proved that you can do a whole season at the highest level on one bike.”
