Try out historic Teversal
By TMX Archives on 2nd Mar 12

The Norwood Teversal venue is truly iconic and is genuinely steeped in off-road history.
During the 1960s and 1970s this woodland scrambles track hosted some of the finest televised scramble races on record.
Top names like Terry Silvester, Malcolm Rathmell, Arthur Lampkin, Andy Roberton, John Banks and Norman Crooks all took part in the epic bar-banging clashes, which used to be screened on Saturday afternoons.
On Saturday, March 3, Wayne Braybrook holds one of his popular training sessions after the winter break.
This is a structured school with no more than ten-riders.
The following day there will be some proper race action, when the Youth classes are first on track for 90 minutes, starting at 8.15am.
This will be followed by the usual Sportsman, Sportsman Beginner, Ladies and Over 50 classes, in their own race for a full two hours, starting at 10.15am.
After a short break for lunch the Expert, Over 40 and Clubman class riders will do battle for 2.5 hours, getting underway at 1pm.
The lap will be made up of good open woodland with plenty of room to pass.
Add to that parts of the old motocross track and a couple of technical sections, and this should be a true Hare and Hounds event.
Parking is limited at Norwood (postcode: NG17 3JR) so riders are asked to team up in vehicles to ease the parking pressure on the day.
