Two-strokes to the fore at Thoresway
By TMX Archives on 22nd Apr 09

WITH two successful rounds of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Two-stroke Championship in the bag, the series moves to Thoresway Moto Parc, Lincolnshire, for round three this Sunday, April 26. The first two rounds have been blessed with good weather and great racing at two perfectly-prepared tracks at Mildenhall and Cusses Gorse, and Thoresway looks set to be no different as the series really starts to unfold.
So far, Dave Willet is the man in total control as he dominates both the Expert 125cc and Open classes but he'll have a target on his back because of that. A target that riders like Luke Hill, Mark Eastwood, Jim Davies, Lloyd Morgan and others will be aiming for. He'll also have the heat from the whole of LPE Kawasaki as Kristian Whatley and Lewis Rose will be riding the Open Expert class, while Elliott Banks-Browne and Dan Arnold will be contesting the Expert 125cc class, so it looks set to be another weekend of cracking racing!
In the Junior ranks, Ryan Tomkins leads the 125cc class but Jason Wells and Luke Dean are within striking distance. The Open class is headed by Ben Howard, but only just! Five points back is Steven Simpson, with Justin Penty only a further two points adrift.
With seven rounds to go, there's still plenty that can happen... and it probably will.
