THERE were many smiling faces at Polesworth on Sunday as Tom Arnold unveiled the superb array of silverware for the 2009 Winter Championship presentation.
The gigantic trophies virtually dwarfed some of the younger winners but three of the Champions were more than happy to pose for the cameras.
Eight-year-old Dylan Edwards won his Small-wheel Auto title in the closest finish of the championship series as his title hung in the balance all the way to the final flag of the series.
Also posing were ten year old Jamie Osborne who ran away with the Junior title and Ethan Gatenby who also enjoyed the moment to the full. Ethan, aged 11, is a recent September 09 upgrade to the Small-wheel class and he got his 2010 season off to the best possible start by picking up the Small-wheel winners trophy.
The big beaming smile said it all as he celebrated the best result of his young racing career so far. Ethan from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands will be looking for yet more success in this year's nationals with entries in both the BYMX and Red Bull series.
