Youth champs crowned

KENT Youth Trials Club staged the penultimate round of the national ACU Class C and D championship series at Crowbor-ough, Kent, on Saturday where Kirkbymoorside brothers Dan and Jack Peace clinched two British titles. MRS Sherco rider Luke Walker settled Class C with a winning ride for the Bishop Thornton trials machine importer.
Walker has won five out of seven rounds this yearand gone down to Jack Stones twice, ironically in Wales. Silsden RepsolBeta importer John Lampkin has been involved in the Dan Peacechampionship title so the eight-year-old farmer's son has literallybrought home the bacon for the Silsden organisation.
The Kent event, running all classes, had to movethe entire operation to a new venue to overcome foot and mouthregulations but were still less than 30 miles from the centre of theoutbreak, but on non-agricultural land.
Even with a major upheaval, Kent TC produced a testing C and D on Saturday with two 20 section laps.
