RHL Activities are pleased to announce that they can confirm both the 2013 British Youth Nationals Series calendar and the tracks on which the United Kingdoms premier youth series will race this season.

Five of the six tracks on which the 2013 British Youth Nationals Series will be contested were used last season, but Culham Park MX Park in Oxfordshire, venue for round two of the championship, makes its first appearance on the calendar this season.

"Overall we were pretty happy with all the tracks at which we raced last season, but we identified Culham MX Park as a track we wanted to add.

And I'm happy to say we've managed to include in on the calendar,” said Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities and the man behind the British Youth Nationals Series.

"It's located centrally and, as a former Grand Prix track, it fits in with our ethos of running only at the best locations in the UK. I'm looking forward to holding our first event there.”

Another new aspect of this year's British Youth Nationals Series is the inclusion of an under-23 class at five of the six rounds.

The Under-23s will race at all tracks with the exception of Wooley Grange and has been included in the programme to give a natural progression for riders once they reach the maximum age limit for the youth classes.

"One of the biggest issues for young riders is progression once they move up from the youth classes,” explains Hockey.

"Jumping into the senior ranks for the first time is a big step, and one that's even more intimidating when youngsters have to leave the environment they're familiar with to race. ‘‘That's why we've added the Under-23s class this season; to give riders the opportunity to make the step up to the senior ranks within the British Youth Nationals Series infrastructure.”

Places in all classes of the British Youth Nationals Series are filling up fast, with bumper grids expected at all six rounds of the championship this season.

"I think we proved that the British Youth National Series is the premier youth series in the UK last season and, as a result, we've seen a lot of new riders registering for the coming season said Hockey.

‘‘We've also had some interest from the manufacturers too, with the likes of Kawasaki's newly reformed Team Green stating that they'll be contesting the series this season.

‘‘It promises to be another great season, which I can't wait to get underway.”
