Billy Bolt claims win at FIM SuperEnduro World Championship season opener
By Team TMX on 15th Dec 25
Billy Bolt launched his 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship campaign in commanding fashion, claiming overall victory at the opening round in Gliwice, Poland.
The defending champion delivered a 1-2-1 scorecard across the three Prestige races to collect 60 points, leaving round one with an early 12-point advantage at the top of the standings.
Bolt set the tone early by topping SuperPole to secure first gate pick for race one, before converting that advantage into a controlled lights-to-flag win. The Husqvarna Factory Racing rider immediately established himself at the front, gradually extending his lead and lapping multiple riders on his way to a comfortable victory.
Race two saw Bolt start from the second row under the reverse-grid format. He quickly moved into podium contention and engaged in a three-way battle for the lead before a small mistake stalled his progress. Regrouping quickly, Bolt limited the damage to secure second place and vital championship points.
Returning to the front row for race three, Bolt once again executed a strong start and wasted little time breaking clear at the front. Settling into a measured rhythm, he controlled the race to take his second win of the night and seal the overall victory by more than five seconds.
The result extends Bolt’s remarkable run of overall SuperEnduro victories, which now stretches back uninterrupted through the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons. It also reinforces his status as the rider to beat as the seven-round series gets underway.
Jonny Walker finished second overall on the night for Triumph, with Eddie Karlsson placing third aboard the Stark VARG. GASGAS teammates Mitch and Ashton Brightmore completed the top five.
The 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship resumes with round two in Riesa, Germany, on January 3.
