Steve Holcombe kept his EnduroGP title charge firmly on track with a double Enduro3 victory at round five of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Fafe, Portugal.

The Sherco Racing Factory rider topped the E3 class on both days and twice finished fourth overall, narrowly missing out on a place on the EnduroGP podium in the process.

Racing in hot, dry and dusty conditions, Holcombe was immediately on the pace. He ran as high as third overall on Saturday before a couple of late mistakes dropped him back to fourth by the finish – still more than enough to secure the Enduro3 win.

Sunday followed a similar pattern. Fastest out of the blocks, Holcombe led the early charge and moved into contention for the overall podium, but a mistake in the extreme test and heavy dust in the cross test cost him crucial seconds. Despite a strong final push, he again had to settle for fourth overall - just three seconds shy of the podium - while completing a clean sweep in Enduro3.

The result tightens the Enduro3 championship fight even further, with Holcombe now just two points off the lead heading into the final rounds.

“It’s been a good weekend,” said Holcombe. “I felt strong on the bike, but at this level every small mistake costs you. Still, two Enduro3 wins are important for the championship and we’re in a good position heading into France.”

The series resumes in Saint-Agrève on July 17-19 for the penultimate round of the 2026 season.
