Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racings James Stewart race to his fifth win of the season and his 50th career victory of the AMA/ FIM Supercross Championships last weekend.
Inside the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis on Saturday night, Stewart quickly moved into the lead at the start of the Main event before pulling out a strong lead to take the win.
And with this result, Stewart became the first rider to win five races this year, and even more impressive, It was Stewart's 50th AMA Supercross win. He now has two more wins than Ricky Carmichael, who had the second-most supercross wins in history at 48.
Said Stewart: "I don't know what's best, this weekend or last? Last weekend was obviously-special but to win again this weekend in a different State and to get a milestone like 50 race wins is unbelievable. I've got to give-it-up to the Yoshimura Suzuki team because we kind of had some issues all day but they came through for me in the Main Event.”
Stewart still has a fair way to go though if he is to catch King Jeremy McGrath. With a staggering 72 wins in total, Stewart needs to notch up another 22 victories...
Can it be done?
