Flying Fin’s army
By TMX Archives on 15th Jun 12
FIVE-YEAR-OLD Finly Abbott from Dorchester is amongst the youngest motocrossers in the country and hopes to continue his amazing motocross debut season when he lines up again on his production KTM 50cc with 20 odd other little warriors this coming Sunday, June 17, when he competes in only his third ever motocross event with the Ringwood Motocross Club (MCF) in Yarley, Wells, Somerset.
Little Finly has had a helping hand along the way as granddad Martin (left) competes himself in the Ringwood clubs Vets group and is the current Vice Chairman.
He has coached Finly since he was three years old and cousin Lewis Robinson (right) who rips up the dirt in the Adult Novice class on his KTM 250 four-stroke machine is also always on hand with advise and help for the little Charminster schoolboy.
Finly has already started to win trophies and one day hopes to be crowned Ringwood Club Champion, but for now he continues to enjoy himself as does the whole of his Abbott/Cake family when it comes to Sundays and motocross.
Natasha Abbott, Finly's mum is also busy within the club, as she takes the race bookings for all the Ringwood Club's events. So anyone wishing to race at the former British GP circuit of Yarley can contact Natasha on 07547-724585.
Paid marshals are also needed and for this event so please contact Nita Fayers on 07885-213235. Spectators have free admission.
