Haven holiday for Leam
By TMX Archives on 9th Jan 08
ON the final day of 2007, Narberth Classic ran the fourth and final round of the Chell Construction trials championship at its popular Milford Haven venue.
The former wartime Naval Mine Depot offers an excellent variety of terrain, from bogs to steep climbs in and out of the tree lined valley, and also superb views over the Milford Haven waterway.
On the Blue route - the easiest of the three on offer - a superb result was achieved by young Leam Fenn, not yet a teenager, on his 80 Beta. He posted a clean sheet over four laps of the ten-section course and beat the Adults, Twin-shocks and the other boys and girls.
Many other low scores were recorded, including Twin-shock winner, James Booth, with three marks lost, Youth runner-up Emily Williams on nine marks lost, and Pre-65 winner and mad Welshman Rob Griffiths, on 34 marks.
