Hell unleashed

THE infamous Crusty Demons arrived on UK soil at Manchester MEN Arena last Thursday night for the opening date of its much anticipated Crusty Demons Unleash Hell' tour, and the first ever European show undertaken by the freestyle freak-show turned out to be an absolute stunner.
For two and a half hours, the Crusty team held the capacity crowd inside the MEN in the palm of their collective hands with a jaw-dropping display of freestyle trickery and pyrotechnic power. There was even a bit of stomach churning circus side-show entertainment thrown in for good measure.
Led by IFMX champion Beau Bamburg and crowd favourite, New Zealand based Brit Luke Smith, the 11-strong crew of riders never failed to do anything less than impress and from the second the lights went down and they appeared clad in hooded
cowls, accompanied by a serious amount of pyro, to the very last jump of the night, the skill on display was phenomenal.
Whips, flips, combo's. If it's a freestyle trick it was pulled by one rider or another across the night and the ‘Expression Sessions' and ‘Trains', where all the riders were jumping simultaneously, were particularly impressive, leaving the fans not knowing where to look next.
A backflip performed on Quad by American Jon Gueter was another definite highlight, although the lack of a back-flipping snowmobile as advertised was a bit of let down.
All in all though, the 2008 Crusty Demons ‘Unleash Hell' tour was two hours of the best entertainment you will find anywhere on the planet and surely it won't be long before the show returns to UK soil.
