Hawkins and Waterman continue to do battle

Luke Hawkins on the PAR Honda took a hard fought win during MXY2 race one at round two of the Championship, held at Brampton in Cumbria.
He fended off the attentions of Josh Waterman on the Danger UK KTM, whowas tied at the head of the Championship standings with him. This raceresult briefly gave Hawkins a five point advantage in the title chase.
The final step of the podium went to Ewan McLaren on the Motone KTM who came over the line 31.885secs behind the leaders.
In the second outing of the day Waterman was determined not to beout done by his rival and pulled out all the stops to take the win by18.739secs. Hawkins chased hard from fifth place through the pack tosecond, leaving McLaren in third once again.
With a win and a second place each, Hawkins and Waterman are onceagain tied at the top of the standings as they head to round three atHawkstone on Sunday the 14th June.
