Indoor trial des Nations

THE 2007 FIM Indoor Trial des Nations was staged in Cordoba, Spain, on Saturday evening with the usual format of three Nations - Spain, Great Britain and Italy - each comprising a three-rider team.
The Spanish hosts started as heavily-backed odds-on favourites to retain their title as Toni is the reigning World Indoor title and both Adam Raga and Albert Cabestany have won the World Indoor title!
Great Britain was fielding Dougie Lampkin, who can stand muster with any of the Spanish when it comes to trading titles, backed-up by the experienced (although lacking match practice on Indoor sections) Graham Jarvis and the ambitious James Dabill, who has had limited Indoor practice leading up to the event. The Italians were represented by Fabio Lenzi, Michele Orizio and Daniel Maurino.
It was always going to be a major upset if the Spanish were going to be beaten but the way that the Catalan trio were riding it was, unfortunately, never going to happen.
The battling Brits made a very good fist of it though and the format was nine sections, with each rider taking on two of his opponents, in three sections each plus a final hazard which all competed on.
