Isak Gifting was just too fast for the MX2 class at Oakhanger

Super Swede Isak Giftings offered Revo series lifeline from 426 Motorsports Team. Eyebrows were raised late on the Saturday afternoon before the Oakhanger Revo series opener, as rapid Swede Isak Gifting showed up on a GASGAS emblazoned with the 426 Motorsport logos of his rival from last year, Conrad Mewse!

After the Hitachi KTM Fuelled by Milwaukee squad was forced to back out of competition in 2023, Gifting was without a ride, but just as he did for Mewse last year, Anthony Skerry of Stebbings Car Superstore helped out with some last-minute funding, and Isak picked up his bikes the Thursday before the first race!

The official team title is Stebbings Car Superstore Powered by Bikesure 426 Motorsport. The bike is essentially a standard GASGAS, a bike that Gifting knows well, which they will improve as they go.

It was clear from the Oakhanger races that the Swede never backed off in his training, as he pulled through the pack in the brutal second moto. His lap times never dropped whilst all those around him did, by about four seconds on average!

It was a solid ride to secure the 1-1 overall result, and the MX2 class was served notice that he will be the man to beat this year, especially now that Walsh is out of the picture. He said on the podium that “I also want to do MXGPs so we will work towards doing that series.”
